PSYCHOTHERAPY

Emily Hest
Psychotherapist
There are so many ways to build a meaningful life, and therapy creates a space for inquiry and exploration as each of us determines how we want to live. In this spirit, my approach is focused on helping you connect with your unique values, strengths, and identity. I consider the ways systems and society further complicate the challenges we all face, seeing advocacy as something that goes hand-in-hand with healing. I believe that there is so much capacity for growth and joy in all of us, and therapy allows us to give time and attention to these causes. My hope is that together we can explore all the weird, funny, painful, and wonderful parts of being human.

I enjoy working with clients from all backgrounds and walks of life. Areas of focus include life transitions, anxiety, self-esteem, perinatal health, and divorce. I moved to the Twin Cities over ten years ago and feel grateful to call this community home. Outside of clinical work, I love reading, chatting with friends, and trying new coffee shops.

I am currently working under the licensed supervision of Dr. Oliver Ross while pursuing a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
